Three logistics companies announced acquisitions this week targeting trucking capacity, cross-border services, and customs expertise, signaling how firms are broadening capabilities through deals rather than organic growth alone. AmeriLux Transportation & Logistics, ANDY Corp., and Imperative Logistics Group each made strategic purchases aimed at different segments of the supply chain ecosystem. The transactions show logistics providers are using acquisitions to add specialized services and deepen customer relationships amid increasingly complex supply chain demands.

AmeriLux Transportation & Logistics acquired Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Dedicated Systems Inc., a family-owned carrier founded in 1991 that specializes in nationwide transportation and over-dimensional freight hauling. According to FMCSA records, Dedicated Systems operates 68 power units, employs 70 drivers, and reported more than 6 million miles traveled in 2025. In Canada, ANDY Corp. acquired the majority of assets from Transport Express Frontières, a Quebec-based carrier serving North America, with drivers joining ANDY to maintain customer continuity while gaining access to broader network capabilities. FMCSA records show Frontiers Express Ltd. maintains eight power units and two drivers focused on cross-border freight between Canada and the U.S. Meanwhile, Portland, Oregon-based Imperative Logistics Group acquired the operations of customs brokerage firm Jose D. Gonzalez, CHB, a Laredo, Texas-based company founded in 1994 that has spent more than three decades helping customers navigate customs clearance, import-export regulations, and international trade compliance requirements.

AmeriLux Vice President Marc Leisgang said the transaction positions the company for its next stage of growth and includes plans to relocate transportation offices to Dedicated Systems' former headquarters in Green Bay. ANDY President and CEO Andreea Crisan said the acquisition supports the company's focus on sustainable growth and long-term customer partnerships. Imperative CEO Dante Fornari said the acquisition enhances the company's ability to help customers manage increasingly complex global trade environments through expanded customs expertise and regulatory support. A key component of the Imperative deal is the addition of Jose D. "JD" Gonzalez, who currently serves as chairman of the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America and will join Imperative as vice president of national accounts.

The acquisitions reflect how logistics companies are responding to growing complexity in supply chains by purchasing specialized capabilities rather than building them internally. The Imperative deal is particularly notable because it targets customs brokerage and trade compliance at a time when importers and exporters face increasing regulatory complexity and shifting trade policies. AmeriLux's purchase adds flatbed transportation and oversized freight capacity while also creating a strategic partnership with Airoldi Brothers, Wisconsin's largest independent truck leasing company, which will relocate maintenance operations to the former Dedicated Repair facility. ANDY's acquisition expands its dedicated transportation offerings and driver network, allowing the company to offer more dependable capacity through its integrated supply chain services. Each deal targets a different need—specialized hauling, cross-border transportation, and regulatory expertise—but all share a common goal of deepening what companies can offer customers in a single relationship.
